    • Abstract:
The article profiles hydrologist Shlomo P. Neuman. He found geology in his junior year as overly descriptive, and started searching for a more quantitative earth science discipline that would satisfy his early passion for physics and math. Through a scholarship, he was able to pursue a Master of Science degree in civil and geological engineering at the University of California in Berkeley, California. From 1970 to 1974 he worked as a research scientist in the Department of Soil Physics at the Agricultural Research Center in Bet Dagan, Israel.
